First Hindu State funded primary school in London

A big thank you to everyone that took part in campaign to win the school competition. We have now won the competition and the project to create London's first Hindu faith based primary school is underway.

However, our work is not done.

In 2005, we began consultations within the boroughs of Barnet and Harrow with a view to establishing, in particular, a secondary that would cater to need overwhelming demand for such provision across this area. Parental demand proved extremely high and there were no community objections to the proposal. Discussions are ongoing with both local authorities, who are supportive, and we will be making a formal application to DFE in May 2011.
